Darth Nihilus: The Lord of Hunger
A Sith Lord so consumed by the dark side that he became a wound in the Force itself, devouring entire planets.
Darth Nihilus is one of the most terrifying Sith Lords in history—not because of his combat skills or political cunning, but because he ceased to be a person. The dark side consumed him so completely that he became a living void, a hunger that could never be satisfied.
Nihilus survived the Mass Shadow Generator superweapon at the Battle of Malachor, but the experience destroyed his physical form. He became a spirit bound to his armor and mask, sustained only by draining the life Force from others. His hunger was insatiable—he consumed the Force from entire planets, leaving worlds dead and lifeless.
He couldn't speak in any recognizable language; his words were an incomprehensible whisper that echoed with dark side power. His very presence drained Force-sensitive beings, weakening Jedi until they collapsed, their life essence feeding his eternal hunger. Entire Jedi enclaves were found dead with no wounds—Nihilus had simply consumed them.
The Jedi Exile ultimately destroyed Nihilus not through greater power, but by being a wound in the Force herself—a void that gave him nothing to feed on. When he tried to drain her, he found only emptiness. Starved at last, the mask and robes collapsed, and Darth Nihilus, the Lord of Hunger, finally died.
