The Star Forge is one of the most powerful artifacts in Star Wars history—a massive space station built by the Rakatan Infinite Empire over 20,000 years before the Galactic Civil War. Using the dark side of the Force as a power source, the Star Forge could manufacture battle droids, starfighters, and capital ships at an impossible rate, limited only by available raw materials.
Darth Revan discovered the Star Forge after studying Rakatan ruins across the galaxy. With it, he built an armada that nearly crushed the Republic. The station didn't just produce ships—it corrupted those who used it. The dark side energy it radiated twisted minds, amplifying aggression, paranoia, and hunger for power. The ancient Rakata destroyed themselves through civil war fueled by the Forge's influence.
The Star Forge fed on Force-sensitive beings, drawing power from Sith stationed aboard it. The more it was used, the more powerful—and corrupting—it became. Darth Malak, after betraying Revan, used the Forge to its full potential, mass-producing warships and creating an army that should have been unstoppable.
Revan, redeemed, led a Republic fleet to destroy the Star Forge in the Battle of Rakata Prime. The station's destruction marked the end of Malak's Sith Empire and proved that some power is too dangerous to exist.
