Korriban/Moraband: The Sith Homeworld
The ancient burial world of the Sith Lords—a planet steeped in dark side power and forgotten tombs.
Korriban, later known as Moraband, is the Sith Empire's spiritual heart—a desert planet where the greatest Dark Lords were entombed in massive temples that still pulse with dark side energy thousands of years after their deaths. To walk Korriban is to feel the weight of ancient evil pressing down on your soul.
The Valley of the Dark Lords contains the tombs of Sith legends: Marka Ragnos, Tulak Hord, Ajunta Pall, Naga Sadow. These aren't mere graves—they're temples where Sith apprentices would undergo trials, facing visions, traps, and twisted creatures empowered by dark side alchemy. Many who entered seeking power never returned.
During the Old Republic era, Korriban was home to the Sith Academy, where Revan and Malak trained their followers in the dark side. Later, during the Clone Wars, Yoda journeyed to Moraband (its modern name) to confront visions of Darth Bane and unlock the secret of Force immortality—proof that even Jedi Masters feared this cursed world.
The planet itself seems alive with malevolence. Sandstorms tear across barren valleys, and the Force feels corrupted, twisted. Those strong in the dark side feel empowered here; those aligned with the light feel drained, as if the planet itself feeds on their doubt and fear.
